One of the nicest M-1951 Fishtail parka we have ever had. A deep rich Olive Drab color, complete with the removable frieze wool liner. Absolutely stunning construction and materials. This is the coveted and extremely rare poplin windproof version of the parka that was made to a much higher degree of quality than later iterations.
Hood, adjustable strings, snaps, heavy duty TALON zipper all intact and great condition.
One of the finest and most iconic US military designs ever made. Issued to troops during the Korean War to help fend off the extreme cold temperatures endured during the winter campaigns and would go on to become a staple of the British Punk/ Mod scene of the 1970’s.
